(In english below) OPEN CALL! Hae mukaan jo kahdeksanteen Runokuvaa-näyttelyyn nyt! Levotetterin monitaiteellinen konsepti tuo yhteen sana- ja kuvataiteiden muotoja niiden kaikessa laajuudessa. Näyttely järjestetään ravintola Sörkän ruusussa Helsingissä tammikuussa 2024. Valitettavasti emme pysty tarjoamaan taiteilijapalkkioita. Teoksia voi halutessaan myydä ilman provisiota. Näyttelyyn osallistuminen on maksutonta.
Sanataiteilijaksi haet mukaan valmiilla tekstillä, jonka haluat esille näyttelyyn. Se voi olla runo, lyhyt tarina, laulun sanoitus tai vaikka päiväkirjamerkintä. Tekstin pituus on rajattu 5000 merkkiin. Lähtökohtaisesti sanateokset ripustetaan kuvateosten viereen kaikki samalla tyylillä, mutta halutessasi voit ripustaa tekstin omanlaisellasi tavalla. Valitettavasti kuitenkaan mediateokset eivät ole tällä kertaa mahdollisia. Halutessaan teosparin muodostavat sana- ja kuvataiteilijat voivat tehdä tiivistäkin yhteistyötä.
Kuvataiteilijaksi haet työnäytteillä ja mikäli sinut valitaan näyttelyyn, toteutat uuden teoksen yhdestä sanateokseta inspiroituen. Teos voi olla mitä tahansa seinälle ripustettavaa tai tilallista (tilan rajoittein). Tällä kertaa mukaan voi hakea myös esitysmuotoisella teoksella. Valitettavasti kuitenkaan mediateokset eivät ole tällä kertaa mahdollisia (lukuun ottamatta esitysmuotoista ehdotusta). Halutessaan teosparin muodostavat sana- ja kuvataiteilijat voivat tehdä tiivistäkin yhteistyötä.
Hae mukaan 12.11. mennessä. Taiteilijavalinnat tehdään 19.11. mennessä ja kaikille hakijoille ilmoitetaan päätöksestä sähköpostitse. Valinnat tekee Levoteatterin jäsenistöstä sana- ja kuvataiteille kootut kuratointitiimit. Hakemukset käsitellään anonyymisti, ethän siis lisää teksteihin ja kuviin nimeäsi. Hakemalla sitoudut noudattamaan Levoteatterin turvallisemman tilan periaatteita ja annat Levoteatterille luvan käyttää teostasi osana näyttelyn markkinointia. Lisäksi kuvataiteilijat sitoutuvat toimittamaan kuvan teoksestaan tai sen yksityiskohdasta markkinointia varten 17.12. mennessä sekä ripustamaan oman teoksensa ripustuspäivänä 1.1. Teoksen oikeudet pysyvät luontaisesti taiteilijalla. Levoteatteri tai näyttelytila eivät vastaa teoksista ja niiden mahdollinen vakuuttaminen on taiteilijoiden vastuulla.

​OPEN CALL! Apply to join the 8th edition of the multidisciplinary art exhibition Runokuvaa! The unique concept by Levoteatteri brings together different textual and visual art forms in the many. The exhibition will be held at restaurant Sörkän ruusu in Helsinki in January 2024. Unfortunately we cannot offer an artist fee. The works can be sold without commission however. Participating in the exhibition is free of charge.
As a textual artist you can apply with a ready text you want presented in the exhibition. It can be a poem, a short story, song lyrics or even a diary entry. The maximum length is 5000 characters. The textual works are primarily all put up by their pairing visual works in a similar manner. If you’d like however, yours can be presented more distinctively. Although unfortunately audiovisual means aren’t possible this time. The textual and visual artists will be formed in pairs and if they wish they can collaborate on the new work.
As a visual artist you can apply with a series of work examples and if you’re chosen to participate, you’ll make a new work inspired by one of the textual works. The work can be made with whatever medium, either installable on a wall or spatial (with limitations of the venue). This time you can also apply with a performative work. Unfortunately audiovisual works aren’t possible this time (apart from ones included in performative concepts). The textual and visual artists will be formed in pairs and if they wish they can collaborate on the new work.
Apply by the 12th November. The artist selections are made by the 19th and all applicants will be notified by email. The choices are made by curatorial teams constructed from members of Levoteatteri. The applications are processed anonymously so please don’t add your name in the text or work examples. By applying you commit to follow our principals toward safer space and give Levoteatteri permission to use your work in their marketing. Additionally, applying visual artists commit to sending a picture of their work or a detail of it for marketing by 17th December and to putting up their work on the 1st of January. Rights to works will naturally stay with the artist. Levoteatteri nor the venue are responsible for the works and insuring them is up to the artists.
